Delete your ClassGuard account

You can delete your ClassGuard account and its data at any time. ClassGuard is built by Kryft.

In the app (fastest)

1. Open ClassGuard and sign in.
2. Go to Settings → Delete my account.
3. Type DELETE to confirm and enter your password (or use your fingerprint).

Your account is switched off straight away and you are signed out on every device.

Before deleting, you can save a copy of your data in Settings → Download my data.

Without the app

Email hello@classguard.dev from the email address on your account, with the subject "Delete my ClassGuard account". We check that the request is really from you and complete it within 30 days (usually much sooner).

What gets deleted

• Your account: name, email, password, profile picture, alert settings, help requests and everything linked to you.
• If you are a parent with a family account: your children's accounts in that family and all their class data, files and reports.
• If your child's account belongs to a school: your link to your child is removed and your consent for focus tracking ends. The school keeps its own records under its own policy. To have your child's account and all their data erased, ask the school: a school administrator can erase it from ClassGuard, and you can also email us.
• Teachers: your account and personal data. Class materials you posted for a school stay with the school, without your name.
• School administrators: if you are the only administrator of a school, add another administrator or close the school first (see below).

Closing a whole school or family

A school or family administrator can close the account in Settings → Close school (or Close family). Type the school's name and confirm it is you.

• Everything is switched off at once: no class can start, students' phones are released and signed out, and nobody can sign in to that school.
• Any administrator can reopen it within 30 days. Students then sign in on their phones again, and each phone is approved again.
• After 30 days, all of the school's data is erased: students' accounts, classes, files, reports and messages. Teachers' and parents' own accounts stay, because they may use other schools.
• Any credit left is refunded on request. There is no subscription and nothing renews.

How long it takes

Switched off immediately, erased by our automatic clean-up (it runs every hour), and gone from all backups within 30 days. We keep only a record that a deletion happened (with no personal details) for one year.

Students

Students can't delete their own accounts. A parent can delete a family account, and a school administrator can erase a student's account and all their data. The student's parents are emailed before it happens. Students or parents can also email us.
